The Courant Blows it again: FBI Releases Heavily Blacked Out Sandy Hook Records

David Altimari, as a member of the press, once again fails to do the proper research and haphazardly publishes an article about Sandy Hook. His article in the Courant begins:

The FBI has released about 175 pages of heavily blacked-out documents from the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre investigation.
Of the 175 pages released in response to a Courant Freedom of Information request, 64 were completely redacted and most of the other 111 pages were heavily redacted. The Courant submitted the request in January after state police released a report on the Dec. 14, 2012, shooting that left 20 first-graders and six women dead at the Newtown school.

What Altimari fails to point out, or intentionally hides, is that the documents that the FBI released to the Courant were the same public record that had already been released in the final report. There was nothing new here; he could have written that article in December; but the Courant wanted to feed the ignorant.

My feeling is Altamari has not diligently studied the report or will not ask for help when he needs it; in other word, he is typical lazy press.  He did not know that these documents had already been released.  I have sent him an email expressing my displeasure in his failure to present a clear picture.

Thanks for feeding the trolls Courant, the families in Newtown surely appreciate it.
